The Cardoso family employed us to renovate their kitchen. The main focus was an old AGA stove they found in a barn and had restored in Durban. This is ideal for the cold Ceres winters. The project had its challenges as the house structure consists of un-burnt clay bricks and we wanted to create vast open spaces. We made this happen by hiding structural steel beams and posts so that we do not take away any of the warm cosy homeliness.
